Infrastructure & deployment
// Deploy, secure, and maintain your digital environments
WaveTropy Labs assists companies in the publishing, configuration, and technical monitoring of their websites, applications, platforms, and digital tools.
A digital solution is not limited to its development. To be truly usable, it must be deployed in a stable, accessible, secure, and maintainable environment.
Infrastructure constitutes the technical layer (hosting, servers, domain name, SSL, backups) that allows a project to function correctly over time.
Full transparency: Our goal is to offer pragmatic support, so that the client understands what falls under development, technical operation, or external providers.
What we take care of
WaveTropy Labs can assist in the setup and monitoring of technical environments tailored to the projects developed by the studio or already existing.
The more critical the project becomes for the business (business applications, SaaS), the more the infrastructure must be treated as a subject in its own right to avoid slow load times, flaws, and interruptions.

| Nginx configuration | Setting up the web server, reverse proxy, redirects | Stable and structured access |
| DNS management | Assistance with configuring domains and subdomains | Correct deployment |
| SSL certificate | HTTPS configuration to secure exchanges | Trust and security |
| Environment variables | Separation of sensitive parameters between local and production | Cleaner deployment |
| Redeployment process | Setting up an update procedure | Smoother maintenance |
| Elementary monitoring | Checking availability, errors, or server health | Better responsiveness |
| Simple backups | Setting up or checking backups | Reduced risk of loss |
| Technical assistance | Intervention on incidents, errors, or blockages | Operational continuity |
Related services explained clearly
Infrastructure groups several levels of responsibility. To avoid any ambiguity, here is the distinction between each element.
Hosting & VPS
The server space. Although we configure the environment (OVH, Scaleway, AWS, VPS), the hosting cost is paid by the client to the hosting provider.
Domain name
The site address. We assist with DNS configuration, but legal ownership and renewal must remain in the client's name.
SSL Certificate
Essential for secure exchanges (HTTPS). We install and configure these certificates (Let's Encrypt or managed offers).
Deployment
The project's production launch (transfer, generation, Nginx/Node.js web server configuration). Clean deployment reduces visible errors.
Infra maintenance
Not to be confused with code maintenance (bugs). This refers to the environment: logs, server errors (500), redeployments, VPS health.
Typical Use Cases
Infra_Use_Cases
| [ Use case ] | [ Description ] | [ Expected result ] |
|---|---|---|
| Publishing a website | Deployment of a showcase or corporate website | Website accessible and configured |
| Application deployment | Installing a web application on a server | Operational environment |
| VPS configuration | Preparing a Linux server to host a project | Mastered infrastructure |
| Domain connection | DNS setup, subdomains, and redirects | Clean access via the domain address |
| Switching to HTTPS | SSL installation or configuration | Secured browsing |
| Redeployment after updates | Deploying a new version to production | Controlled update |
| Server error correction | Analyzing a 500, 403, proxy, or port issue | Restored operations |
| Light migration | Moving to a cleaner structure | Better technical stability |
Transparency on responsibilities
Infrastructure is not an absolute guarantee against incidents, but a set of best practices to reduce risks.
Responsibilities
| [ Element ] | [ Usual responsibility ] | [ Details ] |
|---|---|---|
| Domain name | Client | Ideally, the client retains ownership of the domain |
| Hosting | Client or external provider | The cost can be paid directly or refactored |
| Server configuration | WaveTropy Labs depending on contract | Installation, setup, and tracking within the scope |
| Application code | WaveTropy Labs depending on mission | Development, correction, and evolution |
| Client data | Client | The client remains responsible for the content |
| Third-party services | Concerned providers | Availability depends on providers |
| Backups | According to contractual scope | Simple or reinforced depending on the chosen offer |
| Advanced security | Option or specific quote | Audit, hardening, and tests to be framed separately |
Our pragmatic approach
Evaluate the need
A static site, a Node.js application, or a platform with a database do not require the same type of hosting.
Choose a reasonable architecture
The choice can fall on shared hosting, a VPS, or a specialized platform depending on budget, security, and scalability.
Configure the environment
Server, domain name, HTTPS, production variables, Nginx permissions, and launch procedures.
Publishing & Operation
Testing operations (routes, APIs, forms) in production. Organizing future operations to redeploy and monitor.
Examples of deliverables
Deliverables
| [ Deliverable ] | [ Description ] |
|---|---|
| Production environment | Project accessible online in a configured environment |
| Server configuration | Basic setup of VPS, web server, or chosen environment |
| DNS configuration | Connection of domain, subdomains, and redirects |
| HTTPS certificate | Implementation of secure access |
| Deployment procedure | Description of steps for publishing or redeploying |
| Application service | Launching and maintaining an application server when necessary |
| Post-deployment verification | Checking functionality after production deployment |
| Technical documentation | Summary of access, configurations, and key alert points |
| Maintenance plan | Organization of tracking, updates, and future interventions |
Technologies and environments
Linux VPS servers, Nginx configurations, Node.js application services, MySQL databases, Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, and deployment scripts.
We manage the infrastructure for projects developed with Astro, React, Node.js, and Python. The choice adapts to the project, from light static hosting to reinforced monitoring.
For which clients?
Companies wishing to publish a project under professional and stable conditions.
SMEs, startups, software publishers, SaaS project leaders, or organizations already experiencing an unstable technical environment (slowdowns, 500 errors, DNS configuration).
Stability as a prerequisite
Infrastructure and deployment are not always visible to the end user, but they directly condition the quality of operations. A site can be elegant, but if the production environment is fragile, the experience degrades.
We approach infrastructure with transparency: each project must have an environment adapted to its criticality, without unnecessary over-dimensioning or underestimating risks.
